Established in 1954, Granada Hills Baptist School exists to exalt God, to educate children, and to encourage them and their families to follow Jesus Christ. Since then, the school has developed its services to meet the needs of the families they serve. Currently we offer kindergarten through sixth grade. Our academically strong program includes computer instruction and participation in speech meets, spelling bees, math Olympics, art and choir festivals. Spanish is taught weekly in grades K-6, and physical education is taught twice a week to all classes. In our after school programs we offer choirs, sports, art, cooking, and science labs.
The dedicated and experienced staff of classroom teachers is augmented with part time physical education and, Spanish teachers, office staff and day care workers.
Day care is available before school at 7:00 a.m. and after school until 6:00 p.m.
Bible instruction is part of the daily curriculum and chapel is a weekly event. New to the instructional program is the monthly emphasis on Christian character traits such as respect, responsibility, obedience, and thankfulness. This is accomplished through discussion, Bible study, verse memorization, games and interactive play.
Granada Hills Baptist School has an active Parent-Teacher Fellowship which helps to support the school by providing field trips, extra hands in the classrooms, preparing and serving lunches, and assisting in the library. The two playgrounds provide space and equipment for physical development, as well as team games and sports.
Parents have internet access to their children’s grades and email access to teachers and staff enabling better and faster communication. Granada Hills Baptist School is located at
